Delifrance began its franchise operation over 30 years ago following the opening of the first Délifrance bakery store in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Since then, our network has proven its success through the development of more than 400 outlets in 15 countries.

We want to keep sharing our passion for good bread and French food, and be the world leader in French style bakery cafés-restaurants.

A FLEXIBLE CONCEPT

Bakery-restaurant or comptoir express, table-service or take away, our concept is adaptable according to the location and the market, with a mix of core and local products.

We have a product offer for any time of the day, and the shop atmosphere changes accordingly.

SHARING

In France, even in the smallest village, the bakery is the central hub of the local community. For many, a visit to the bakery is an important daily ritual that brings people, from all generations and walks of life, closer together in the act of sharing.

We are also committed to the value of sharing and when the Vilgrain family founded GMP they did so to provide employment to Parisians following the aftermath World War. This, in turn, regenerated the French bakery business.

In 1929 the Ecole de Boulangerie et de Pâtisserie de Paris, was established with the purpose of sharing knowledge and passion to  bakers, enabling them to produce delicious,  high quality, bakery products. We  continued to share our passion (for excellent bread) worldwide with the creation of the first part-baked baguette and the opening of our first stores.

FRANCHISOR SUPPORT

We are committed to supporting our Franchisees . We have developed an effective Assistance Toolkit, detailed in a set of two manuals, including:

  • An Organisation specific manual, for the Master-Franchise holder
  • An Operations manual covering everything from site selection criteria,

Délifrance provides training and support for franchise owners, to help in all aspects of operating a market and the stores within that market, including:

Prior to opening their first store, Master Franchisees are expected to attend a two week training programme which is held at our bakery school in Paris. As part of the training programme they will also be expected to spend time in one of our European stores.

The team at Delifrance will provide on-going support with promotional tools for your local store marketing, outlets audits organization, a mystery guest system implemented throughout the year, new product development, best practice sharing to achieve operational excellence and maximum profitability. It’s all about sharing know-how, sharing experience!
